Collab Setting Norms

While you are encouraged to set norms in your classroom via a conversation with students, here are some suggested norms curated from various content sources.

DO

• Be kind, listen and stay friendly (to yourself and others)
• Say what helps others grow with a smile
• Give everyone a turn to share their thinking and ideas
• Jump in and help
• FAIL = First Attempt In Learning (remember, the END is really, Effort Never Dies)

DON'T

• Be mean or bully others
• Make others work harder because you won't do your part
• Shut others out of the thinking and working because you think your way is best
• Keep pushing your ideas when the group has already said "No"
